Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the nature and the extent of the phytobenthic populations in the marine reserve of Isca. In total, 47 algal species were collected, of which 21 were knew to the region, distribuited as follows: 32 Rodophyta, 8 Phaeophyta e 7 Clorophyta. Distribution of the species, their relative abundance and, for the different collection sites, the frequency of the principal ecological groups were determined.
