Abstract
An extension of the Standard Model based on U(1) gauge symmetry, predicting a new heavy boson Z , in the TeV mass range, is discussed in this paper. Particular attention is devoted to the Z decays into supersymmetric channels in addition to the Standard Model modes, so far investigated. The D-term contribution, due to the breaking of U(1) , is taken into account for slepton and squark masses and its effect is investigated on Z decays into sfermions. The Z production cross section at the Large-Hadron Collider at center of mass energies of 8 and 14 TeV is calculated and the corresponding expected number of events containing a Z decaying into supersymmetric particles for some integrated luminosity are predicted.
