Abstract
Some concepts used in neutrino physics, and highly considered in the past decade, are examined. They regard neutrino propagation, models for leptonic mixing, the interpretations of neutrinoless double beta decay and of the observations of SN1987A. On the basis of this examination, we argue that it would be useful to strengthen the role of the discussions among experts in neutrino physics, to assess the motivations and the value of the assumptions that underly the investigations.
