Abstract

Magnetic reconnection converts magnetic energy into kinetic energy. We report here our recent studies on how reconnection causes highly dynamical outflows where intense energy conversion and even turbulence develops. We report the methods we developed and summarize the results of their application to the study of reconnection events for conditions relevant to the MMS mission.
