Abstract

The AMoRE-II is the next phase of the AMoRE searching for the neutrinoless double beta decay of 100Mo isotopes. One of the dominant background sources in the underground experiments are cosmic muons. This study estimated the muon induced background rates with different shield configurations using Geant4 simulation packages. Details of the various shield configurations and their effects on vetoing of muons and muon induced background events are discussed.
