Abstract
The 20O nucleus represents an interesting case of study. In this nucleus, the spectroscopic properties of the 2+2 and 3+ 1 states are influenced by the contribution of three-body forces. Hence, lifetime measurements of these states can provide meaningful information on the role of three-body forces in this nucleus. An experiment aimed at measuring the lifetime of 2+2 and 3+1 states of 20O using the Doppler Shift Attenuation method was performed at GANIL, using the AGATA array coupled to the MUGAST array and the VAMOS++ spectrometer. The lifetimes of the states were extracted by comparing the experimental data to Monte Carlo simulations. In this paper, the spectroscopic study of the 20O via particle-γ coincidences is presented.
