Abstract

In this communication, I present the process of transforming the in- troductory laboratory course at the University of Potsdam from a “concept-based” to a “skill-based” type of course. I describe the new learning goals, the implementa- tion of new activities to reach these goals and the assessment of students’ learning in the new setting.
