Abstract
Caregiving is a misleading word that only apparently identifies a group of people: non professional carers that care for those in need. It is in fact a nondefinition that refers to an extremely heterogeneous group of persons and identifies a no-man's land, an area where the medicine cannot offer answers, and the care and responsibility are left to non professionals, very often alone and without support. It is an highly heterogeneous minority that cares for different minorities of people with unanswered needs. The non-definition of the caregiver-caregiving should be a challenge for a project where the de-medicalization of care is not a limit but a more rewarding way to conceive and practice the right to life.
