Abstract

The series of cultural influences that, first from the Asia and then from the West, have characterized the Japan mainly in the last century, have not changed the culture of this people. The main difficulty of westerners is to understand the reasons that lead this people to have infinity of behaviours and methods that are difficult to know in detail because they are numerous and of not easy interpretation. Starting from this evaluation, this contribution tries to analyse the reasons over which both the architectural project and the preservation of the cultural estate are founded. To achieve this aim, we go back on the traces of the MA and then on the definitions of time and space
