Abstract
Although renal carcinoma is a relatively rare cancer, it has a strong tendency toward metastatic disease. However, metastases to gallbladder is extremely rare (1). We report a 77-year-old woman with isolated gallbladder metastases from renal cell carcinoma 13 years after radical nephrectomy. In patients with solitary metastases, a 35%-50% prospect of surviving for 5 years after complete metastasectomy was reported (2); therefore surgical treatment of gallbladder metastases for renal cell carcinoma can provide a favourable long term outcome.
